Hunter Equine was started by Kyle Hunter & Meg St Peter. A passion for horses, nutrition and the highest quality care has led them to where they are today.
Kyle has been surrounded by farming, livestock and animal nutrition his entire life. After graduating from Purdue University, Kyle gained more industry experience by working as Feed Mill Manager for Cargill Premix Nutrition and DFS Animal Nutrition, as well as a Director of Operations for Egg Innovations.
Now back at Hunter Nutrition, Kyle is thrilled to be back at the family business once more. His father started Hunter Nutrition almost 30 years ago and today, Kyle has a large amount of involvement in the daily operation of the business. Located just 5 minutes from our farm, Hunter Nutrition is our primary source for the highest quality horse feed and specialized nutrition. Kyle can provide the best consultation for your horse, no matter their dietary challenges.
Meg was born and raised in the country. Growing up, she started riding horses at the age of 10. Over the years, Meg has trained and shown in Hunter/Jumper, Dressage and Cross Country. She also loves to ride Western and has an affinity for Reining and Ranch horses.
Meg brings years of large animal health knowledge, after working as a large animal manager at a small veterinary clinic in North Carolina. She has experience with working with many different breeds, temperaments, ages and training levels.
Kyle & Meg both share a deep love for horses and animals in general. They are also involved with the other side of the family business, Hunter Dorsets, which is a Polled Dorset breeding operation located east of Lafayette. Hunter Dorsets is a disease-controlled facility offering research, commercial and breedingstock. This is where we also got Curly, our barn mascot!
With their combined experience, deep love for horses and passion for the highest quality care, Kyle & Meg are prepared to welcome you and your horse(s) and provide a safe, welcoming environment for everyone.
